Professions
There are 25 levels to each profession. The higher the profession level the more you will benefit from the profession. Every fifth level of profession a new title is assigned and a new badge (in flowers slots) defining your achievements in the profession is given. You can view current experience and level of professions in Stats/Proficiencies panel in the game client.
Agriculture
Skill is increased by successfully planting seeds.
For each level of skill, the chance of a successful planting increases by 1%.

Skill is increased by collecting herbs using Sickle or Mechanical Mower.
For each level of skill, the chance of a successful harvest increases by 1%.

Recycling
Skill is increased by recycling items into Gold Bars using Crucible Furnace.
For every level of skill, overall performance of Crucible Furnace increases by 1% (from 100% to 125% of base cost of processed items), and a chance that the durability of a Crucible Furnace will not decrease upon use.

extraction
Skill is increased by extracting Essences off gear using Extractor in the lab. The greater the cost of items extracted, the more it increases the skill.For every level of skill, the chance of successful extraction increases by 1%, as well as a chance to receive essence of one level above the essence level (eg. the item has a Miraculous essence and you receive a Condescent essence), and a chance that the durability of the extractor will not decrease upon use.
Mining
Skill is increased by finding Fossils under license from Task-Master.
For every level of skill the probability of finding 2 minerals on a square instead of 1, increases by 1% (range of efficiency from 0% to 25%).

Aeronautics
Skill is increased by using Teleports, Mass Teleports, Unique (Crafted) Teleports, Light Road Home, Return to Beacon and Call of Heart. The greater the value of the Teleport, the more it will increase your level in Aeronautics

Herbalism
Skill is increased by finding herbs (finding, not picking up).
For every level of skill probability of finding a herb on a square increases by 1%, (from 25% to 50%).

Alchemy
Skill is raised by brewing potions in laboratory. The greater the value of the potion brewed the more the skill is raised.
For every level of skill, the probability of that one of the components will not be used when brewing increases by 1% (range of efficiency from 0% to 25%). Also increases a chance of receiving 2 items instead of one.

Hunt
Skill is raised by using Traps, Magical Scaners, Magic Mirrors, Compasses and Magnets.

Skill is raised by catching fish. The higher the value of the fish caught the more the skill raises.
For every level of skill the probability that the Rod durability will not decrease by 1 during catching increases by 1% (range of efficiency from 0% to 25%).

Sleight Of Hand
Skill is increased by success in pickpocketing, not the amount stolen.
For every level of skill, probability of keeping Pickpocket Tools is increased by 1%. Skill level affects the success rate of Pickpocket Tools.
